“Job’s Not Finished. Job Finished? I Don’t Think So.”
Today’s like winning the first game of a new season, and most of your “teammates” are asking you why you’re not celebrating while they make plans to go out and kick it.
I smile, and make a witty enough response that doesn’t leave room for unnecessary discussion, so morale remains high. I crack a joke here and there, but the entire time my mind is telling me that anything less than a championship with an undefeated record is unacceptable. Winning the first game is a temporary confidence booster that can help the team win the next game, but life has proven that it requires more than that.

Those were thoughts I had while working outside. High heat and still rocking a hoodie. I had a sudden feeling of what I thought was fatigue, or heat, or something else I’ve been told in regards to human anatomy. So I stopped what I was doing, looked at the Sun, the sky, the trees, the ground, the architecture of my environment, and tuned out all the noise. I felt a slight breeze, and took a deep breath, and thought to myself, “it can’t be fatigue if I already know that I’ll get a second wind when I get home”. I couldn’t hear anything other than one voice.
Then I thought about what “home” actually is on every dimensional scale, and had to hold back some tears. After that, I felt right as rain, and then I was aware again and self-aware in the present.
I can actually see the lines that have been drawn between “willpower” and “real” power.
God-tier vibes.
